Science Museum Oklahoma has been one of the most important museums in Oklahoma City since it was founded in 1958, at the Oklahoma State Fairgrounds. For decades generations have seen science in a fun and imaginative new way.

From March 4th to May 31st, a new exhibit will be open as part of a multi-million dollar renovation. The new SmART Space Art Gallery will allow children and adults an opportunity to explore the intersection of science and art with two inaugural exhibitions: "Hidden Spaces: The Artwork of Jason Cytaki and Haley Prestifilippo," and "Magnificence: The Microcosmic Perspective." Five artists and scientist have their various works displayed and visitors can compare and contrast actual specimens in larger than life stacked print photographs by artist Bob Sober.

This new exhibit is a hands-on exploration with guests being able to use digital microscopes to view different specimens, materials, and even themselves as they are projected onto a wall.

This is just the perfect little place to get your workout in. While the YMCA has numerous other locations however, this one is special. You are able to get in and out quickly without much fanfare. They have plenty of cardio machines that are always being updated. Just enough free weights to get the job done. And ample circuit machines for any workout. However, my favorite is the sudio. They have any sort of class to fit your wants and needs. Zumba...yep! Yoga...check! Spin classes...got it! And those are just a tiny portion of it.

If you live in the neighborhoods around Putnam City North High School, this is super convenient on the corner of 122nd and Rockwell. Warwick Estates, Warwick West, Walnut Creek, Fox Run, Country Hollow, Summit Place neighborhoods are all right there, plus many more.

If you are ever in need of purchasing a new vacuum, you must come to this locally owned business. I have been here at least three times for repair on my vacuum so that I do not have to purchase a new one and it has been worth it every single time. First, my dog chewed off my cord. They replaced it with an even and longer one for super inexpensive. Then, I broke a hose and they again replaced for a reasonable price. I knew that I needed new filters but had forgotten to mention it to them when I dropped it off. He gave me a call to let me know that he would really like to replace the filters since they were in bad condition and had never been replaced in this seven year old machine. I was super appreciative of the offer and again it was very inexpensive!

As I was visiting, the friendly owner was helping another customer purchase a new vacuum. The amount of knowledge he had was astounding. He really knows his stuff. They are located in a super convenient location in Northwest Oklahoma in the Walnut Village Shopping Center near Putnam City North High School. If you are near Gaillardia, any of the Warwick neighborhoods, Fox Run, or Country Hollow then you need to stop by for a visit. They also carry cleaning products, kitchen supplies, and vacuum accessories.

Moms, if you’re tired of hearing kid-complaining about dinner and toys and all the normal stuff, I highly recommend taking them to help serve dinner at the City Rescue Mission. What a great experience! Our kids got to serve meals, pick up trash, wipe down tables and interact with the homeless families there with us. They got to meet kids their own age who jumped at the offer of seconds of chicken, beans and salad. Everyone was so polite, thankful (they seriously clapped for the girls at least three times) and safe. There were lots of good questions afterwards and they’re already asking to go back. What a blessing!

I am telling you, these onion burgers and fresh french fries are just the best! If you like onion burgers this is the place to go. They cook to order and are just plain and simple better than any chain could ever be. Check out this little local burger joint and try some of the gyros or desserts also. Conveniently located close to many neighborhoods in NW Oklahoma City, easy access to the turnpike, and Putnam City North High School! Shop local, eat local!

Great lunch at Cornish Smokehouse! I tried the Ultimate Chopped Hot Sandwich. This delicious sandwich was stacked with tender, chopped brisket and diced hot links topped with melted Swiss cheese, coleslaw drizzled with hot BBQ sauce all on a toasted bun. Needless to say, this was a great choice for me on a somewhat chilly OKC day.

Please make sure to take a chow down break anytime you are looking at our great homes in Edmond and OKC. Never hurts to review your home choices over a meal like one one I discovered at Cornish Smokehouse located at 801 SW 119th Street in Oklahoma City!

This past weekend we supported quality local theater and the Lyric Theater's production of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. Many appreciate all the effort and the musical talent of these exceptional Oklahoma City University students and performers. They exhibited great set design, costumes and the timeless Christmas message! Ebenezer Scrooge and the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future are always perfect Christmas season entertainment.

We dined at Cheever's before the show and I look forward to sharing my favorite dishes with you after the show!

Yummy food, awesome drinks and great service! This is definitely my go to spot for weekend brunch! They serve this spicy popcorn for you to snack on while you wait, which has become rather addictive! You can sit inside at a table or around the bar to watch whatever game is happening that day or they have really cool patio seating.

There is just so much to say about this little oasis...Bluff Creek Park! This park has everything from a one mile walking trail to wood calisthenics equipment to wildlife to bike trails. On a pretty spring day you can rent the pavilions that come with picnic tables and grills. During the summer when the trees are in full bloom it is a beautiful sight with tons of walkers. Along the one mile walking trail, you will find a 1/2 mile cut through, park benches, and fitness equipment, pet pickup stations, and bike trails. You can see everything from deer, rabbits, and other small wildlife in this manicured wooded area. There is so much to do in this park just north of Lake Hefner on Hefner Rd and Meridian Ave.

Who loves animals? I do! That's why I always recommend to my friends and clients to check out our OKC Zoo. Our Oklahoma City Zoo is always a fun day trip! Our zoo continually improves and provides fun and education to all ages in the Oklahoma area. You'll be happy to experience the rhinos, the new Asia exhibit and the primate exhibit aptly named, The Great EscApe.

I also love the native Oklahoma animal area that is called the Oklahoma Trails Exhibit as it showcases animals that are native to Oklahoma and very much at home living in our climate.
Even though it's a bit cold on some days this December 2018, you'll find that our weather can fluctuate (just remember what Will Rogers said about the Oklahoma weather) and you will find a few Winter days that will cooperate with you coming to the Oklahoma City Zoo.

Take my advice and come to see this great OKC Zoo when you can! Great fun for friends and family and you will love the new exhibits and animal arrivals here. Come by soon and see one of the great zoos in the nation. Hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Here is a relatively new dining experience, Wagyu Japanese BBQ, the city’s first Yakiniku restaurant. The style is all about grilled meat, so every table comes equipped with a small grill to cook the beef, chicken, pork and seafood options. Don’t worry about the process; your server will walk you through the whole process. Your protein selections are complemented by chef-prepared sides, and the a la carte menu offers Wagyu and Prime beef in three to four-ounce portions that make it possible to taste a variety of flavors without going broke.

After some showings today, I'll be exploring my dining adventures at this highly recommended OKC restaurant. I've dined there once before with clients and I was impressed. It's located on Memorial Road in one of my favorite restaurant and shopping areas. I do love most any kind of BBQ, but I have to attest that the flavors they conjure up here are delightful. It's a Yakiniku restaurant and the fare is focused on grilled meat. You can choose beef, pork, chicken and of course, seafood. It's a very cool concept and I love the service and ambiance at Wagyu!

Loving the new dining options in Northwest Oklahoma City? Yes, I do miss the Mimi's that was in this location, but the food and service of the new restaurant now here are superb!

My suggestion is that you head over to Memorial Road in Northwest Oklahoma City and stop by this new restaurant that moved into the old Mimi's location. It's named Black Bear Diner and they specialize in 'home cooking' food that is a bit on the heavy side and quite filling. If that's what you're interested in when meal time rolls around, then I think you'll love Black Bear Diner!
I stuck with something that I figured they would have perfected, the meatloaf and some luscious green beans and a baked potato. I was not disappointed! Great service and the food tasted wonderful! Prices are fair and the ambiance is nice! They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can order off any of those menus anytime during the day or evening!! They are located at 3015 W Memorial Road in Oklahoma City. Their number is (405) 749-5992.

See you there soon! Enjoy the food and I'll keep you posted on my next Oklahoma foodie discovery!

Discovered a really nice sushi spot after visiting the Oklahoma City Arts Festival! Inaka Sushi & Bar! I loved the idea of getting my sushi served in a wooden 'boat'. The serving plate 'boat' fits perfectly on the table and contains a variety of their delicious sushi fare. It's the perfect presentation if you are going with friends and want to easily share the food.

What was my favorite sushi at Inaka Sushi and Bar? The Rainbow Roll, Firecracker Roll, and
Spider Roll. You'll find your favorite 'roll' filled with generous servings of steamed fish, crab, shrimp, depending on what you order. If you love more of a Hibachi style meal, the chefs can accommodate that, too! You can enjoy the view as they prepare and chop the chicken, steak, and other proteins right there in front of you.

I love the downtown YMCA! It has a large 25 yard pool, several indoor gyms and multipurpose rooms, and a large weight room area. Both the men's and women's locker rooms have been renovated. As spring approaches, you can enjoy a group Spin Class outdoors! They have Boot Camps, Yoga, Kickboxing and so much more! If you are a Blue Cross Blue Shield Member, ask about the discounted YMCA Membership Rate! There's no reason not to be active and in shape with your local YMCA. Also if you join, you can attended other YMCA's around the Metro.

Do you love locally owned Italian restaurants and a terrific Sunday brunch? Living in northwest OKC affords me quite a few opportunities to fine dine out. Tommy’s Italian American Grill is a favorite due to the great food, Sunday brunch and quality atmosphere. It’s located on North Memorial Road and you can easily access it from the turnpike.

Wood-fired pizza is top shelf there as well as tasty bruschetta and the capellini al gamberetti. Such unique flavor combinations of smoked corn, grilled chicken, red and green bell peppers will delight your tastebuds. Service is always superb and I even love dining in the bar area.

I love this convenient northwest OKC location. I meet clients there for a healthy chow down and they loved Coolgreens as much as I did. What’s to love? How about an inventive selection of flatbread sandwiches, salads and smoothie drinks? The flavors center around delightful basil pesto, fig flavors, sun dried tomatoes and some tasty goat cheese. I really enjoyed a turkey breast wrap and my clients loved their salad and soup combos. Get there early if you’re doing lunch to get through the line faster. Check their website for the full scoop.

Discovered the nicest surprise a hungry Realtor could find in our urban Oklahoma City dining scene. I was surprised, pleasantly so, that one of my favorite food ingredients, pesto, is featured front and center. Their use of ‘pesto aiolo’ on their menu items is a blessing for my tastebuds! I tried an open-face breakfast BLT recently and it was a total thumbs up. Bring yourself here as soon as you can and pesto presto, you’ll be in foodie heaven.

This is absolutely a must for the entire family. As you drive your car through the experience, your car radio will be set to 107.1FM and you will see the lights dance to the music. • This little area is booming! The Jones Assembly is already a hopping new spot, a new parking garage is soon to open with 345 spots, and in Fall 2018 "The Clubhouse" will open with awesome apartment living! The intention of the West Village is to be able to close off the streets for special events and live music! You must check out this area! IMO...this will be the elite, golf-course-members-only type area to live and play!

The West Village is a small area inside the Film Row District nestled between Sheridan Ave and Main St, Classen Blvd and Fred Jones Ave.
