  • Things were kind of quiet over the Christmas holidays in the popular Whitehall neighborhood. Whitehall is currently getting its west brick wall increased in height and stature. The old wall that bordered MacArthur Boulevard had some structural problems, but that is now being corrected and improved.

    Curious about real estate activity in this area? The median sales price in Whitehall was $225K. One home has sold and two are now active and for sale. Homes have been selling about 2% below asking price. Average days on market for homes in December were 49 days. There is 6 months of inventory in the market today. A balanced market is defined as having 5-7 months of inventory. A seller's market has less than 5 months of inventory and a buyer's market has more than 7 months of inventory.     My wife and I have always been fans of the beautiful Whitehall Addition in Oklahoma City. Many of the homes in this neighborhood were built by Rick Russell, who spared no expense in "tricking out" some of these houses with fine detail. Homes in this Addition, located in the Putnam City School District, range anywhere from $225K up to $375K. This area is close to shopping, dining and the beautiful Lake Hefner is less than a mile away. Homes in this coveted neck of the woods don't come on the market very often; and when they do, they usually sell rather quickly based on the criteria and budget of prospective buyers.

    Okay, I'm highly prejudiced in a favorable way about Whitehall in Oklahoma City! I live and sell homes in Whitehall and it's my favorite neighborhood in NW Oklahoma City!

    Winter time is really hitting us hard this week. This morning it was 19 degrees!
