My wife was out showing some property just outside of Kellyville this morning and I tagged along. It was a very cold morning here in Green Country and while waiting for my wife's clients we were approached by a neighbor out looking for another neighbor's dog. He explained that his good friend and neighbor's golden Lab had wandered off last night and that he was lending a helping hand by driving around looking for the dog. Seeing we were realtors he had some questions about property in the area and referred a new customer to us that was interested in moving into the area. Soon after our showing we got engaged in the dog hunt as well and drove around looking for the dog as part of a group effort. We did not locate the dog, but I got a call just a little bit ago that the dog had turned up back at the property. I tell this story because this is why i really enjoy living in Oklahoma and especially country life. Meeting new people, having a fresh and interesting conversation with someone new, and occasionally participating in a hunt for a lost dog is all part of a day in the life of local residents here in Green Country.
