Dover Pond Area Insight

  • Dover Pond is one of Owasso's premiere neighborhoods that was around before Stone Canyon. This gated neighborhood sits just in front of Clear Brook which is also a premiere neighborhood in Owasso that is highly sought after. These neighborhoods have winding roads, stone bridges and mature trees. You will feel like you are out in the country yet you are actually only a couple of miles from the town of Owasso and just about 10 miles from Claremore. The winding roads in Dover circle a spring fed pond that has bluffs and wildlife from turkeys to deer. One of the great things about the neighborhood is how quiet it is in the evenings. Just far enough from all of the city noise and just out enough that the night sky is full of stars much like being actually way out in the country. Homes range from $500K to over a million. Once you enter the gates, you will quickly know why this area is highly sought after and you will want to call it home.

Every evening just about dusk they come out in droves. I enjoy a nice evening sitting out back so you can watch the lightning bugs as they start to flicker. I've been places where you see one or two here and there but in Dover Pond when they come out, it's like a mini light show in your yard! It brings back memories of childhood days collecting them in mason jars.

One of the great things about Dover Pond and Clearbrook is the wildlife. On a daily basis you can always see deer around the neighborhood. You can also find turkeys, owls, nesting hawks, and skunks, of course. But, the best thing is when the moms start to lead the baby fawns out and about. Over the past month or so, they have been spotted all around the neighborhood. For the past week, one doe and her two fawns have been by on a regular basis. I am sure she is teaching the little ones all about the great neighbors and wonderful homes that are available around the area! It's not like any other neighborhood in Owasso.
