Choctaw is a great place to live, close to the big city with that country atmosphere. Choctaw is a small town on the east side of Oklahoma County. It offers several grade schools and a great High School. Choctaw is growing tremendously and offers a variety of recreational activities for the entire family. Great neighborhoods from any price range. The people are friendly and offer you that welcoming hospitality.

Choctaw is a pleasant surprise when it comes to small towns with a big town feel. The high school games are well attended and supported with fantastic teachers instructing the students. The junior high with its renovations and newer construction gives the impression this small town is in a major growing spirit. Whether in town or out of town near Indian Meridian, the elementary schools are available in strategic locations.

Choctaw is growing rapidly. It has everything you need within a few miles: groceries, fast food, a nice sit down restaurant, salons, dentists, banks, Dollar General stores, friendly churches of all denominations and running trails in the park. For the military families, it is really ideal because of living near I-40 and being within 15-20 minutes away on either side of the interstate. It's similar to living in a bedroom community of a larger city, zipping around but getting there quickly.

There are many reasons to live in Choctaw, including the new construction. It has exploded in the last several years and increased to where finding a home in Choctaw isn't hard. There are great choices for a home.

Driving through Choctaw on the roads with rolling hills and passing by beautiful green lawns and beautiful blue skies reminds you that you are not in the city. You may easily find a home on a hill overlooking beautiful sunsets, or a private acreage with gorgeous open land. The rising sun in the mornings reflecting on the waters of the pond you may own would make a family appreciate the town. Beautiful mornings and evenings are frequent in Choctaw.

Changing leaves in the fall is another reason to live there. Choctaw is wonderful no matter what season it is. Hearing baseballs crack the bat to announcer's yelling the score of the football games, families have lots to do and see.
