Kelly Coin-Op Laundry is a seven-minute drive from the University of Central Oklahoma if you're looking to get away from campus or if you live off campus. The facility was very clean during my recent experience there when my dryer went out on me. The staff was very friendly and very helpful and even offer a drop-off service as well.

A good friend of mine and fellow real estate agent was gracious enough to treat me to my first experience at Eddie's, on the corner of 2nd Street and Coltrane and it was fantastic! Let it be known, this is a sports bar-type restaurant so during peak hours and big sports events, this could be a loud environment. But on a typical day, it's the perfect laid-back, down-to-earth, casual atmosphere for a casual lunch with friends, colleagues, clients, etc. Serving American-style food like pizza, pasta, dinner salads, burger and fries, wings, and more they've got something for just about any mood. I got their Prime Rib Beef Stroganoff which was rich in flavor with a creamy texture, but not too heavy. It was hearty and a perfect meal for this windy, winter evening!

If you're ever hungry while on the north side of Edmond, I highly recommend giving Eddie's a go! You'll be glad you did!

If you're in Edmond and haven't been to Taqueria Los 3 Tapatios at 630 S Broadway you're missing out! Everything tastes fresh and super flavorful. My go-to is carnitas tacos. I recommend eating there so you can try the different salsas they have to offer and get the red onions with habanero. In my opinion, this is easily one of the best lunch options in Edmond. Need someone to go with? Give me a call, it's just up the road from my office and I'm always up for tacos!

  • Between Broadway and Boulevard on 5th Street in Edmond, Oklahoma there lies a restaurant that brings authentic Japanese Ramen to Oklahomans. Only being around since the year 2015 they have mastered the art of ramen. Not only do they serve ramen, but my personal favorite dish on the menu is Garlic Fried Rice, Karaage Style. Watch out though; it will blow any other fried rice you have had out of the water. If you go on a busy Friday or Saturday night be prepared for a wait because the restaurant itself isn't that big. Be sure to check it out and then maybe head over to the UCO Jazz Lab! They also have another location in the Midtown Area.

Iris Memory Care takes care of residents with all types of dementia using a unique approach for folks living with dementia that focuses on each person at each stage in the journey of their disease. Denise Diaz, Marketing Director, talks about the process that Iris Memory Care uses to provide individualized care. "Our overall philosophy is to provide purposeful living to maintain quality of life. We have two buildings that provide a private home like setting. Our building A is for our residents at the later stage of the disease, this stage requires a lot more assistance with transferring, feeding, and all daily activities. Then we have building B which is for individuals that are in the earlier to middle stage of the disease. At this stage, residents can still do a lot for themselves and are able to participate in most activities as well as outside field trips. Both buildings identical so that our residents aren't aware of the transition from B to A when the disease has caused so much decline that they need to transition. Each house holds a maximum of 20 residents, which creates a more comfortable environment. For more information, call Denise Diaz at 405-696-8700.
