Five beautiful and historic estate homes in Lincoln Terrace will be open to the public on Sunday, September 18th from noon to 5:00 p.m. for tours. Lincoln Terrace is a community located to the east of the state capitol and just north of OU Medical Center, encompassing nine blocks in downtown Oklahoma City on land that was once owned by J.J. Culbertson right after the 1889 Land Run. This year, the homes that are featured include: 427 NE 14th, 612 NE 14th, 615 NE 15th, 630 NE 18th, and 745 NE 18th. For history and architectural lovers, docents will be present in each home who have in-depth knowledge about the history of the home as well as its architectural features.Tour parking will be available along the streets in Lincoln Terrace, as well as the parking lot on the south side of the State Capitol Building. Food trucks will also be selling delicious food on several of the streets. Advanced tickets for the tour can be purchased online up until Saturday, September 17th for $12.00, or can be purchased the day of the tour at 630 NE 18th Street at the "Will Call Table" for $15.00. The admission money for the 2016 Lincoln Terrace Homes Tour go towards the beautification and maintenance of Lincoln Terrace.
