For the past six years, I’ve had the incredible opportunity to serve on the Business Services Team at Owasso Public Schools. When I first stepped into this role, I had no idea just how much it would shape me, both professionally and personally.Working behind the scenes in public education is a unique kind of service. While educators are on the frontlines shaping young minds, our role in Business Services ensures that the resources, logistics, and financial structures are in place to make that education possible. It’s detailed work that demands precision, collaboration, and heart—and I found all three in abundance within the Owasso Public Schools community.Owasso isn’t just where I work—it’s home. Being part of a school district that prioritizes integrity, student success, and continuous improvement has been deeply fulfilling. Whether supporting budget planning, streamlining processes, or helping to manage the operations that keep the district running smoothly, every task was connected to something greater: our students’ futures.I’m especially proud of the culture at OPS. It’s a place where every employee, no matter their role, is valued for the part they play. Over the years, I’ve grown in my professional skills and developed strong relationships with coworkers who became more like family.
