Oklahoma City is the largest city in Oklahoma, offering a mix of urban and suburban lifestyles. The city has a thriving job market, a diverse food scene, and a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
One of the things I love most about living in Oklahoma City is how our community comes together every September for the Oklahoma State Fair. From the midway lights to the smell of cinnamon rolls bigger than your head, the fair is more than an event — it’s a tradition that makes OKC shine! This year, the Oklahoma State Fair 2025 runs September 11–21 at the Oklahoma State Fair Park, and there are plenty of ways to save on admission while still enjoying everything the fair has to offer. Beyond the deals, the fair is a true Oklahoma City experience. Whether it’s live concerts, carnival rides, livestock shows, or trying new fair food (fried Oreos, anyone?), there’s something for everyone. For me, the state fair highlights the best of OKC living: friendly faces, local pride, and memories that last a lifetime. It’s a reminder that Oklahoma City isn’t just a place to live — it’s a community to belong to.If you’re exploring Oklahoma City this fall, the State Fair is the perfect reason to see why locals love calling this area home.
