A new project development is still in the planning stages in downtowns "Film Row". The mixed-use development is set to begin construction this summer with a budget of $60 million. The project will include 346 residences, 805 structured parking spaces, and 14,000 square feet for commercial space. The area of Film Row that will be under construction is on the west fringe of downtown near the 21c Museum Hotel that is in the old Ford Motel T assembly plant. The area is undergoing a massive face lift and revival. It will eventually link the new downtown boulevard to the south as well as the merging of Western Avenue into Classen Boulevard. Residents of the new building will be able to walk to the core of downtown Oklahoma City enjoying the Myriad Gardens, Bricktown, Automobile Alley, and Midtown. Film Row encompasses six acres. Once construction is complete, there will be a world class art museum and hotel (the 21c Museum and Hotel), restaurants, coffee shops, studio space specifically designed for live-work space, and an outdoor public area for the community. This is an incredible time for the west side of downtown Oklahoma City!
