Downtown OKC will be hosting the 2nd Street Jazz Crawl in the Deep Deuce district on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. The evening will last from 7:00-10:00 pm. Everyone is encouraged to experience first hand the Deep Deuce Jazz Night experience and culture.The Deep Deuce District of Oklahoma City not only is of great historical significance, it is a mecca for jazz music and African-American culture. The Deep Deuce neighborhood was one of the largest African-American communities in OKC during the 1940's. It was also home to legendary jazz musicians Charlie Christian and Jimmy Rushing. Each year, the Deep Deuce Musical Festival features legendary jazz and blues bands, local performing artists and visual artists. Residents enjoy local jazz favorites that include: Anchor Down, Bella Vici, Deep Deuce Grill, Native Roots Market, Slaughters Hall, Slim; Men's Modern Fashion, The Wedge, Urban Johnnie Bar & Grill, and Wsky Lounge.
