Oklahoma City is the largest city in Oklahoma, offering a mix of urban and suburban lifestyles. The city has a thriving job market, a diverse food scene, and a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
It was revealed in the March 12th edition of "The Oklahoman", that a newly proposed development on Broadway Avenue in Downtown Oklahoma City may actually be getting closer to being a reality instead of an on-going contemplation. Over the past 50 years, 1122 N. Broadway otherwise known as Broadway Place has been the home to a gas station and a mixture of other car related tenants. Renderings by GSB of a five-story development have been unveiled of what might ultimately be built in the current location, exciting many in the downtown area. On the other side of Broadway the new facility for Oklahoma Contemporary is being built and the downtown streetcar will run along this stretch of Broadway linking one end of Broadway with Automobile Alley. The design of the building is contemporary and impressive and will alter the current landscape and usher in a new era of architecture in downtown as long as it passes the Downtown Review Committee. As always, there are exciting new changes happening in the urban core of Oklahoma City.
