Oklahoma City is the largest city in Oklahoma, offering a mix of urban and suburban lifestyles. The city has a thriving job market, a diverse food scene, and a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
It is finally springtime in Oklahoma City and with that comes the perfect opportunity to enjoy dining out at the best rooftop spots the city has to offer. Are you ready for some delicious food and fresh air? Here are some of my favorites!WEST IN BRICKTOWN:West is owned and operated by the family that has brought Oklahoma the famed Johnnie's Charcoal Broiler that has been spoiling use with burgers and onion rings for the past 40 years. The idea for West began as Rick and Randy Haynes saw a need for Oklahoma City to have a modern and unique facility to match the feel of large metropolitan restaurants. West in Bricktown features two bars, three private rooms, and a patio that can hold up to 75 people. On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday you can hear live music in the Copper Lounge. The patio offers fantastic rooftop views of the Oklahoma City skyline and you can cozy up to the outdoor fireplace.GUYUTES IN UPTOWN 23RD DISTRICT:Guyute was named after the Phish song of the same title and is a new restaurant on the famed Uptown 23rd District. The menu includes gourmet food with musical reference names (The Grateful Dead, Wu Tang Clan, and The Eagles) and specialty alcoholic beverages. The overall feel of the restaurant is elevated street food on a rooftop patio. The restaurant serves brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's and has nightly events that include happy hour and movie viewings. Guyutes is perfect for unwinding after work or make a quick stop for happy hour before a Thunder game. The restaurant is open daily from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m.CAFE DO BRAZIL IN MIDTOWN:In the heart of Midtown you will find one of the most unique restaurants with an acclaimed Brasilian cuisine. Café do Brasil is known for transforming a funeral home into an elegant restaurant with great ambiance and rooftop patio. Every Tuesday through Thursday kick back from 4:00 - 7:00 at happy hour and Friday's and Saturday's with live local music. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays. Be sure to order one of the eight Caipirinhas as you enjoy the beautiful skyline.O BAR IN MIDTOWN:O Bar at the top of the Ambassador Hotel in Midtown is an upscale rooftop bar with one of the best views of downtown Oklahoma City. Food is prepared by the Viceroy Grille, the hotel's upscale restaurant located on the first floor. Each Wednesday the bar features a weekly event, "Wine Down Wednesday" where they offer a hand-picked glass of wine for $5.00. The bar prides itself on its ambiance, signature cocktails, and penthouse status.PACKARD'S NEW AMERICAN KITCHEN IN MIDTOWN:Packard's New American Kitchen is located in the old Packard Automobile showroom that was built in 1920. Packard's presents fresh baked bread, veggie and cheese boards daily as well as offers crafted cocktails, local beers and "one of the most innovative wine lists in the city". Enjoy brunch on Saturdays and Sundays or kick back at the Bloody Mary Bar. The rooftop is open to the public nightly during Spring, Summer, and Fall.
