The Oklahoma City Museum of Art will be hosting a lecture series by Dr. Gloria Groom, Chair of European Painting and Sculpture at the Art Institute of Chicago, titled, "Van Gogh's Bedrooms" on Wednesday, March 23rd from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The lecture will offer insight into the exhibition "Van Gogh's Bedrooms" which is now open exclusively at the Art Institute in Chicago. Groom will explore and explain the significance of style and motif used by Van Gogh in the areas of refuge, nest, creative chamber, and physical reality. Van Gogh's Bedroom at Arles is known as his finest work of art and was so important to Van Gogh himself that he made two distinct copies which are almost identical to the original.Admission is free for museum members and $5.00 for non-members.
