Oklahoma City is the largest city in Oklahoma, offering a mix of urban and suburban lifestyles. The city has a thriving job market, a diverse food scene, and a variety of cultural and recreational activities.
Automobile Alley is becoming a restaurant attraction for downtown Oklahoma City. On Monday, March 14th, Cultivar Mexican Kitchen opened at 714 N. Broadway, offering a distinct menu. Owner Gary Goldman has created in an industrial-farmhouse setting in the old Goodrich Rubber building a craft taco bar. The restaurant was created to give a contemporary drinking and dining experience that celebrates the history of the building and the city.Goldman and his partners salvaged several things from the building and turned them into a one-of-a-kind statement piece for the restaurant. The bar top is from reclaimed boxcar flooring, the original freight elevator was revived and repurposed as a private chef's table, and the west side of the dining room has been enclosed by twin garage doors that open to create a curbside patio.Tortillas are cooked fresh on a flat-top griddle and patrons can watch as the grinder works at the craft taco station. There is also a salad and burrito station where you can choose from 50 plus fresh ingredients and 15 house-made salad dressings. Craft cocktails, house sangria, and local craft beer and wine are available at the full-service bar. The menu itself ranges from seasonal tacos, salads, and burritos to rotisserie chicken and specialty quesadillas.Cultivar Mexican Kitchen is open Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Mondays from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Tuesday through Thursday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Fridays and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
